Compass Rose Cycling is Launched with “Back on the Road Again”, Rides scheduled for September and October.
Compass Rose Consulting, Introduces Cycling for Effective Leadership
Compass Rose Cycling programs are geared to get leaders back on the road, build confidence and abilities while creating healthier leaders.
Newton, New Jersey. Business Success Coach, always innovating and following her passion, Donna Price, is introducing cycling into her business. Kicking off with two skill development series, Price will provide cycling as a leadership development tool. Personally, Price has found cycling to be a place for reflection, personal fitness, travel and strength and confidence building. Having biked across the country in the mid 90’s, Price now bikes with her daughters on tandem bikes and still loves the freedom of the road, bicycle touring and spending a day just riding.
Talking with other women leaders she found many that were afraid to get out on the road, afraid of traffic and their own skills. Price decided to introduce rides as part of her offerings. Price has developed educational tours for organizations in the past and has a woman’s history tour in the development phase.
The rides – called “Back on the Road Again” are 3 ride series in Sussex County. Each ride is paired with a skill workshop. Workshops include: Bikes, Fit and Biking Equipment; Being Self Sufficient on the Road (How To Fix a Flat); and Defensive Riding Skills (Keeping Yourself Alive and Safe)
The first series, offered on Wednesday mornings will be limited to 15 riders and only women. The second series in October is open to both men and women and will be offered on Saturday mornings.
Many have developed models of leadership based on the bicycle – it offers many metaphors for leadership that will be discussed, but the main focus of the Back on the Road, AGAIN rides are riding skills and confidence.
